They are just demos posted on their myspace page, but so good. All of their songs make me feel like my high school self is meeting my present day self in the best possible way. Of the 3 new tracks, Tippy Toes is my fave. They are also asking for small donations so that they can record their new record. You can give here.
UPDATE! You can download the whole record, Craving To Be Coddled So We Feel Fake-Safe, on their virb page. You can download them for free, or purchase the mp3s. These guys could use the loot, so hook them up.
The best part of Stella McCartney’s line for Gap Kids is the set of 10 permanent markers. She recommends that you use them to color on your white canvas high-tops (also available through the line) or plain t-shirts. I wish my mom let me do that as a kid. Buy me these!!!
Rosemary’s Baby. It’s alarming. Plus, I know exactly how it ends but I still get upset. Every year before my birthday I get a little crazier than usual, maybe that’s it.
Anyway, John Cassevettes is so perfect as Guy, and hot too. That is him, second from the right. Also, that is a young Peter Falk (Columbo) all the way on the left.
But Ruth Gordon as Minnie Casavetes steals the movie.
Did anyone see these pics of Rihanna in Italian Vogue (shot by Steven Klein), looking very Grace Jones? You can see all of them here. Also, her new album cover leaked (shot by Ellen von Unwerth) and that looks like an homage to Ms. Jones as well. Hmmmm.
According to this brief article here, last.fm will begin to air videos on online and offline airwaves. It seems as of now it will be mostly concert footage, but hopefully it will spread and they will begin to show more music videos. I have never understood how someone hasn’t stepped in and replaced MTV. Especially since most artists still produce videos to go with their singles, yet they are rarely ever aired outside of youtube. Videos were a major part of my childhood and adolescence, and I would still be willing to spend hours on the couch eating bad food and watching videos. VIVA VIDEOS.
